The Israelites faced a monumental task of rebuilding God's temple, starting with the unglamorous foundation work. When opposition arose, their progress halted for sixteen years. We see ourselves in this story when we consider how resistance appears in our lives through fear, control, exhaustion, or discouragement. The enemy knows our vulnerabilities and exploits them, whether through questioning God's goodness like he did with Eve, or through jealousy like with Cain. What's particularly striking is the reminder that not all opposition comes from evil sources. Sometimes God allows friction to refine us, to make us more like Christ.

The turning point comes when prophets Haggai and Zechariah speak God's word to the people, asking a convicting question: Is it time for you to dwell in your comfortable houses while God's house lies in ruins? This challenges us to examine what we've been building for ourselves versus what we've been building with God. The promise that accompanies this challenge is profound: God's Spirit will accomplish what our strength cannot. Mountains that seem insurmountable become plains before the power of God working through us.

The message challenges us to consider our own building projects: relationships we're restoring, careers we're pursuing, families we're raising, or ministries we're developing. Are we building on the right foundation?

The text reveals four common fears that paralyze us: building the wrong thing well, not building at all, starting but running out, or building the right thing badly. Yet the Israelites show us that obedience precedes blessing. They worshiped even though they were afraid of surrounding peoples. They offered burnt sacrifices—gifts expecting nothing in return—to train their hearts in trust.

Before we can participate in God's work, we must confront our own rubble: bad theology, celebrity Christianity, sin patterns, and false pictures of God. This isn't deconstruction for its own sake; it's reformation. It's the hard site work that prepares the ground for something lasting.

The call is clear: we must place God first, meet Him at the altar, and empty ourselves of self-reliance before we can build anything truly great for His glory.

This message challenges our modern tendency to rely solely on our own efforts, reminding us that the One who holds the hearts of kings in His hands can change any circumstance we face. The archaeological discovery of the Cyrus Cylinder validates this biblical account, confirming that this Persian emperor did indeed allow conquered peoples to worship their own gods—a practice that made no political sense but perfect spiritual sense.

We're invited to consider whose hearts God might be stirring on our behalf right now, and more importantly, how God might be stirring our own hearts to walk through doors He's opening. The three-fold filter of Christ, community, and conscience provides practical wisdom for discerning God's direction, reminding us that we need the counsel of trusted believers to navigate the gray areas of life where Scripture doesn't give explicit commands.

The message confronts our tendency to replace trust in God with elaborate strategies and backup plans, asking whether we've exhausted ourselves protecting against failure rather than stepping forward in faith. We're invited to consider the countless warnings God has sent us before we've sinned, and the messengers He's placed in our lives to turn us back.

The central challenge is this: Will we answer the call to be God's representatives, not just sharing information about the kingdom, but embodying its reality? In a culture that prizes political systems and personal power, we're reminded that God's primary method of change is through ordinary people who say yes to His extraordinary purposes.

What makes this story so compelling is Jehoshaphat's response: he didn't turn to military strategy, political alliances, or his own wisdom. Instead, he resolved to inquire of the Lord. The chronicler who wrote this account was speaking to a discouraged people who had returned from exile, living among partially rebuilt structures but lacking the spiritual substance they once knew. Through Jehoshaphat's example, we learn that the decision to turn to God in crisis isn't made in the moment of panic, it's a resolution we make beforehand—during seasons of peace—by saturating ourselves in God's Word. Jehoshaphat had studied the Torah and remembered how God parted the Red Sea, how He required faith to inherit His promises, and how He remained faithful even when people failed. When crisis came, these truths became his foundation.

The message is clear: what we do when we don't know what to do reveals what we truly believe about God. Do we turn to comfort, distractions, or endless advice from others, or do we position ourselves to see God work mightily on our behalf?

The message beautifully distinguishes between being merely functional in our faith versus walking in complete healing and fullness. Like someone cleared to work after a concussion but not truly healed, many of us accept salvation as 'fire insurance' without embracing the transformative life God offers. We settle for surviving when we're called to thrive. The imagery of salt becomes profound here—just as salt in Elisha's time healed poisoned waters, we become the salt of the earth through purification by God's refining fire. When we repent continuously, we produce good salt that preserves holiness, enhances the flavor of lives around us, and brings healing to our families, workplaces, and communities.

Drawing from 1 Chronicles 28, we encounter King David's remarkable response when God tells him he won't build the temple he envisioned. Instead of clinging to 'his' vision, David immediately pivots to prepare his son Solomon for the task. This shows us when God gives us a vision, we don't own it, we steward it. The mission may be bigger than our lifetime, requiring generational faithfulness.

David didn't simply command Solomon to build the temple; he invited him into the vision, sharing the 'why' behind the 'what.' This principle applies across generations today. For those of us who are older, we're called to invite younger believers into God's work by living it ourselves, getting down at eye level, and showing them the way. For younger believers, age doesn't disqualify us from leading, even leading our families to Christ.

The message culminates with a beautiful truth: through salvation, we become co-heirs with Christ, princes and princesses in God's kingdom. The lies that limit us—'I'm not qualified,' 'I don't have resources,' 'I'm too young'—are replaced by God's empowering truths. Like Mr. Miyagi teaching Daniel-san karate through everyday tasks, God prepares us for our calling through the ordinary moments of walking with Him.

This message is a reminder that Pentecost isn't just a historical celebration—it's the birth of the church, when God's Spirit fell with wind and fire, writing His law not on tablets but on human hearts. The central question challenges us profoundly: What happens when we acknowledge God but live without His actual presence among us?

David understood that all his success, power, and influence meant nothing if God wasn't at the center. Through the beautiful illustration of Punchinello and the Wemmicks, we see how the world constantly places stars and dots on us, defining our worth by performance, appearance, and achievement. But in God's presence, we discover our true identity: we're special simply because He made us, and He doesn't make mistakes. The stickers only stick if we let them matter.

This message invites us to move beyond temporary encounters with God—those occasional Sunday morning goosebumps—and instead give Him permanent residency in our lives. When we spend time with our Maker, we receive life, power, security, and success. We discover that we are the temple of God, called to bear His presence wherever we go. The challenge isn't just to do good works for God, but to first be transformed in His presence so we don't build the wrong things or do the right things the wrong way.

First Chronicles opens with nine chapters of genealogies—1,200 names that most of us rush past to get to the 'good stuff.' Yet these ancient lists of names were designed to answer the deepest questions of identity that plague us today: What story do we belong in? Who are our people? Are we loved and secure?

The Israelites returning from exile faced a devastating reality—their temple was underwhelming, their inheritance incomplete, and their identity fractured after 70 years of cultural assimilation in Babylon. The chronicler responded not with motivational speeches, but with genealogies that traced their lineage back to Adam himself, reminding them of their divine origin and God's unbreakable faithfulness across generations. Within these lists, three stories slow down to teach us profound truths: Jabez, born into pain, cried out to God and had his story rewritten; Reuben, born into privilege, forfeited his inheritance through sin; and Sheerah, a woman who built cities on major trade routes 900 years before Chronicles was written, showing us that even in brokenness, we can build something extraordinary.

These genealogies function like identity formation theory, answering who we belong to, what we're called to do, and what we can become. The question for us today is simple but profound: What story are we listening to about ourselves? The news cycle, social media, our failures, our rejections—or the declaration of Scripture that we are chosen, royal, holy, and God's special possession?

This message is a stark call to for us to check where our attention is. Are we focused on the things that Lord has called us to or are we being distracted and giving our attention to other things (as well)?

Honestly, that hits close to home. A lot of us start strong. When we first meet God or when life gets hard, we’re all in. But when things feel a little weird, a little uncomfortable, too comfortable, or when no one’s watching, it’s easy to pull back. We stop short.

This story pushes us to ask some real questions: What prayers have we held back on? Who do we still need to forgive? What has God nudged us to do that we brushed off because it didn’t make sense in the moment?

And when it comes to living this out, we’re not doing it empty-handed. Ephesians 6 reminds us we’ve actually been given everything we need: truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, God’s Word, and prayer. That’s how we “strike the ground” in our everyday lives.

Will we keep going when it feels repetitive or unnoticed? Will we press past what feels comfortable? Because Denver doesn’t just need more people going to church on Sundays. It needs people who are all in: showing up for each other, staying rooted in the Word, praying like it matters, and building real community centered on Jesus.

In 2 Kings 6 we encounter the story of Elisha and his servant surrounded by an enemy army. While the servant saw only the overwhelming threat, Elisha prayed for his eyes to be opened, revealing God's flaming chariots and heavenly army surrounding them. This powerful narrative reminds us that there's always more happening in times of chaos than what meets the eye.

The enemy's strategy is to intimidate us with fear and scarcity, convincing us that the bad news is all there is. But throughout history, even in the darkest moments, an undercurrent of kingdom advancement has always been flowing. The early church faced persecution yet responded by sharing meals, loving generously, and gathering faithfully. We're invited to resist the current of fear by pressing into simple acts of faith: sharing meals, extending forgiveness, giving generously, and prioritizing community. Faith doesn't deny reality but demands that reality bow to the truth of God's kingdom. The question before us is whether we'll join the undercurrent of grace that has advanced God's purposes through every generation.

In 1 Samuel 30 we encounter David at one of his lowest moments, and yet despite the circumstances he does three things that result in him being strengthened by the Lord, and in his case ultimately having the things he lost restored to him.

This isn't just an ancient story; it's a blueprint for our lives today, reminding us that what looks like a stop is often a doorway to greatness, and what feels like discouragement is actually a stepping stone to declare God's goodness.

This message confronts this crisis head-on by examining the powerful story in Mark 2, where four men literally tear apart a roof to bring their paralyzed companion to Jesus. What unfolds is not just a story about physical healing, but a profound illustration of the kinds of friendships we desperately need to combat isolation and draw closer to God. The passage reveals that the man who was paralyzed received something even greater than physical restoration: the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. This reminds us that while we often focus on temporary miracles like healed relationships, financial breakthroughs, or physical health, the greatest miracle is the eternal transformation God offers. Through the lens of these four friends, we discover that authentic Christian friendship isn't just about shared interests or casual hangouts. It's about people who bring us closer to Jesus, who stand with us in faith, who offer wisdom in confusion, who connect us with resources, and who keep our hearts sensitive to the Spirit.

The challenge before us is clear: we must move beyond the recreation-focused, independently-minded culture that isolates us and instead forge deep, vulnerable, Christ-centered friendships that require time, honesty, and mutual commitment to become the people God created us to be.

Drawing from John 14:18-21, we explore Jesus's promise that 'because I live, you also will live'. The message challenges us to recognize that we live in a supernatural world where resurrection power isn't just something that happened once, but a present reality that can invade our darkest places. Like spending time near a banana that makes everything smell like it, when we draw close to the resurrected Christ, His nature begins to permeate our lives—His compassion, mercy, hope, and joy become ours.

The resurrection proves that Jesus has authority not just over sin and sickness, but over death itself, meaning there's no debt too great, no diagnosis too final, no situation too far gone for His power to reach. We're invited to submit ourselves fully to this risen Savior, not white-knuckling our way through faith, but trusting that He holds us secure even when our own strength fails. The beauty and pain of the Christian life are paradoxically intertwined, but resurrection always follows death when we're connected to the One who is Himself the resurrection and the life.

That’s the lens we’re looking through as we step into Jesus’s final days leading up to the cross. Palm Sunday isn’t just something that happened a long time ago, it’s actually a powerful picture of what it looks like to live in God’s Kingdom here and now.

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem during Passover, it wasn’t random – every detail mattered. The city was packed with people picking out lambs for sacrifice, and at the very same time, Jesus – the Lamb of God – was walking in to be examined by religious leaders. You can’t miss the irony.

But here’s what really hits: Jesus didn’t spend His last days trying to prove himself or build a legacy. He spent them investing in people, teaching, loving, showing His followers (and us) how to handle relationships, authority, and even suffering.

At one point, He looks over the city and just weeps. He sees people not just as they are, but as they could be, and He knows many will still reject Him. That kind of love is heavy.

So it raises a question for us: are we close enough to Jesus that our hearts start to break for the things that break his? Or do we just get frustrated with everything that’s wrong around us? What if God wants to turn that frustration into real compassion?

There’s also a warning in Luke 19, that we can miss God showing up in our lives. And usually we don’t look for Him until things fall apart. But what if we didn’t wait for chaos? What if we chose to lean into His presence in the everyday, in the calm moments too?

This isn’t about trying harder to earn anything. It’s about waking up to the reality that God is already here. The one who loves you is present right now, inviting you into something deeper, something that actually changes you.

On Mount Carmel, you’ve got this wild scene – Elijah going up against the prophets of Baal – and what you see is that not all effort is the same. The prophets of Baal are going all out trying to get a response from a god who never answers. It’s exhausting, and honestly, kind of heartbreaking.

And if we’re real, we can do the same thing. Maybe not with Baal, but with comfort, success, relationships, or just wanting people to like us. We pour ourselves out, thinking if we just try harder or do more, something will finally come through for us.

Then there’s Elijah. He steps up and prays a simple, honest prayer to the God who actually has power, and God shows up.

It’s a pretty clear contrast. How often do we live like it’s all on us? Like we have to perform, strive, and push harder to get God to move?

This passage invites us to something different. It’s about being honest with God about what’s really going on in our hearts, letting go of the pressure to prove anything, and trusting Him to do what only He can do.

Because here’s the good news: we’re not people who have to bleed for our god. We follow a God whose Son bled for us so we can actually live in freedom and fullness of life.

Because he chose pride and power over wisdom and humility, his decision led to division among the people of Israel. This moment reminds us how powerful our choices can be—especially when it comes to the counsel we accept and the attitude we bring to leadership and relationships.

Through this story, we’re reminded that wisdom often calls us toward humility, patience, and care for others, even when pride pushes us in the opposite direction. God invites us to seek wise guidance and to lead our lives in ways that reflect humility rather than control.

Silence can come from fear, shame, exhaustion, or just wanting to keep the peace. But when problems go unaddressed, they usually grow.

This isn’t about overreacting. It’s about Spirit-led courage: trusting God with the outcome and speaking truth in love when He calls us to. The good news? Our past silence doesn’t disqualify us. Because of Jesus, grace gives us a fresh start and the confidence to take our next step, not in ourselves but in God.

This isn’t just about adultery. It’s about how we excuse the sins we like while condemning the ones we don’t. The Bible talks about sin in a few ways: transgression (open rebellion), iniquity (that inward bent in us), and sin (missing the mark). David’s story shows how what’s brewing inside eventually shows up on the outside. We usually don’t plan to wreck our lives, we just keep choosing what feels right in the moment.

The question isn’t only “Is this good or bad?” but “Is this within God’s design?” God’s boundaries aren’t random, they’re protective.

When Nathan confronts David, he doesn’t hide. He humbles himself and confesses. That’s what sets him apart: not perfection, but repentance. And that’s the heart of Christianity. It’s not about being flawless; it’s about bringing our sin into the light and letting Jesus cover it.

And one more reminder: when we drift from what God’s called us to and grow passive, we become vulnerable. But no matter how far we’ve wandered, grace is still on the table.

That moment forces us to ask some honest questions about our own lives. Are we more concerned with how we look to others, or with living for an audience of One? Following Jesus has a cost. It might mean letting go of our image, our comfort, or the version of ourselves we work so hard to protect.

But here’s the good news: whatever indignity we feel in following Jesus doesn’t even come close to what He willingly took on for us at the cross. Saying yes to God’s presence in our lives isn’t wrecking our future, it’s actually freeing us from chasing things that were never going to satisfy us anyway.

The invitation is to live “undignified” lives; not reckless or careless, but boldly obedient. That means honoring God in the loud, visible moments and in the quiet, unseen ones where no one else is watching.

Going beyond a sermon and into a workshop format, Pastor David gives us a simple way to practice lament: say what hurts, acknowledge how it feels, hold on to hope in God, and choose to trust Him. What we discover is that lament isn’t a lack of faith, it’s telling the truth about where we are while still trusting who God is. We can cry and still worship. We can grieve and still have hope. The tears we’ve cried in hard seasons haven’t been wasted, they’ve been softening our hearts for what God wants to bring next.

Just like the writer of It Is Well With My Soul worshiped God after unimaginable loss, we’re invited to worship God not for what He does, but for who He is. Psalm 126 reminds us that those who go out weeping with seed will come back carrying a harvest. Even now, God is using our tears to prepare us for breakthrough.

That truth reshapes how we approach prayer. So often, we come to God with our lists – our stress, our pain, our needs – expecting Him to fix what feels urgent. But God, in His grace, goes deeper. Like a good physician, He treats the source, not just the symptoms. He speaks to root issues we may not even recognize, because He knows us better than we know ourselves.

God communicates with us just as He always has, through Scripture, creation, His people, and ultimately through Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us hear and understand what God is saying. But the challenge is the noise. Weariness, anxiety, busyness, distraction, and spiritual resistance can all make it hard to hear the God who longs to speak.

So the invitation is clear: turn down the noise. Confess what needs confessing. Make space for stillness. And trust God enough to slow down, listen, and be still, knowing that He is God.

In Isaiah 6, the prophet Isaiah has a powerful encounter with God in the throne room—and everything changes. In a season of chaos and uncertainty, Isaiah sees the Lord still seated on the throne, unshaken and fully in control. That moment reveals something important for us today: hearing from God isn’t about doing more religious things, it’s about the posture of our hearts.

In this message, we walk through Isaiah’s encounter and unpack three key confessions that position us to hear God clearly: faith, surrender, and repentance. We talk about the difference between recognizing God’s authority (Adonai) and experiencing His personal presence (Yahweh), and why it’s so easy to let culture, influencers, or our own opinions compete with God’s voice.

When Isaiah truly sees God, he also sees himself—broken, unclean, and in need of grace. But instead of rejection, God brings cleansing and calling. The same is true for us. We don’t clean ourselves up before coming to God—we come to God so He can clean us up.

No matter your past, your doubts, or your mistakes, there is no sin bigger than God’s grace. The God who forgives is the God who calls—and He’s still speaking today.

This message asks a big question: What’s in your hands that God could use? Maybe it’s your unique skills, your story, or even what you see as limitations. Through God’s eyes, those things become tools for His Kingdom. All He’s looking for is someone willing to say “yes.”

This message challenges us to stop snuggling up to compromise and instead run after righteousness. God’s commands aren’t outdated rules; they’re wisdom for real life. As the “salt of the earth,” we’re called to live differently and make the world around us better.

Unbelief can hold back what God wants to do in our lives, but faith opens the door for miracles. So ask yourself: where have you stopped believing God can work? It’s time to stir up your faith and start expecting again because God is still doing miracles today.

This message from Joshua 1:1–9 takes us through the transition from Moses to Joshua and the reminder that God’s presence is our greatest strength in every new challenge. Just like He told Joshua, God tells us today: “I will be with you wherever you go.”

This isn’t just about crossing into new places; it’s about crossing into new levels of faith. Where are we holding back? Are we leaving God out of our workplaces, relationships, or dreams? It’s time to invite Him into every part of our lives and live as doers of the Word, not just hearers.

We’re not meant to do this journey alone; we’re called to cross over together, encouraging and supporting one another in faith.

We’re challenged to see our jobs not just as something we have to do, but as a way to honor God. When we look at work through that lens, even the most ordinary tasks can become acts of worship. That shift gives real meaning and purpose to what we do, regardless of our career.

The blind man didn’t hold back. Even when people told him to stay quiet, he kept crying out, and that persistence caught Jesus’ attention so much so that He stopped and healed him. That shows us just how much our cries can move God’s heart.

This challenges us to really take a look at our own prayer life. Are we praying with that same kind of faith and intensity? Are we willing to keep crying out even when it feels like nothing is happening? This story pushes us not to give up, no matter how long we’ve been waiting or how impossible our situation seems.

This isn’t about being afraid; it’s about recognizing who God is, staying aware of His presence, and letting the Spirit give us strength in everyday life. When we do that, God’s kingdom grows naturally through us.

We’re challenged to step outside our comfort zones, bring healing in our relationships, and reach people in our city who don’t yet know Jesus. That’s what multiplication and fruitfulness look like.

Real strength isn’t about never being scared; it’s about choosing to trust and obey God even when you’re feeling anxious or uncertain.

The challenge is to skip the shortcuts, trust God’s timing, and remember if God hasn’t given it to you yet, it’s probably for a reason. Don’t force it! This story hits right at the heart of our struggles with not having enough, with stress, and with wanting to make things happen ourselves instead of waiting on God. At the end of the day, it’s way better to choose a real relationship with God than settle for some temporary win that won’t last.

But here’s the thing: when God tells Joshua (and us) to “be strong and courageous,” He’s not saying it because we’ve got it all together. It’s because He promises to be with us, no matter what. The real challenge is to stay connected to what God says, filling our minds with His Word instead of just worrying about our situation.

So, if you’ve been letting fear or discouragement hang around, maybe it’s time to kick them out. God’s presence is the game-changer. This story shows us we can step forward with confidence, not because life is easy, but because God’s always with us, right in the middle of whatever battle we’re facing.

Sometimes, we get so focused on chasing after blessings that we forget about the One who gives them. When that happens, our faith can start to feel dry and routine, like we’re just going through the motions. But here’s the good news: Jesus took on the curse for us, so we don’t have to try and earn God’s favor by following a bunch of rules.

Because of what Jesus did, we get to step into the same blessing that was promised to Abraham—just by trusting Him. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about knowing we’ve got a loving Father who wants a real relationship with us. When we put God first, instead of just chasing after what He can give us, His blessings overflow into every part of our lives.

The main idea is about trusting God, even when what He’s asking seems tough or when it feels like His promises are a long way off. We’re encouraged to take small steps, trusting that God is faithful and will come through for us, even if we’re not sure how it’s all going to work out.

There’s even a cool connection to the movie ‘Inception’—how sometimes we hesitate or overthink trusting God, but He always keeps His word. So, this message is a challenge: Where in your life are you holding back from really trusting God? What’s stopping you from stepping out in faith? It’s an invite to let go of doubt and trust that God’s never going to let you down.

We’re challenged to notice how holy and awesome God is, to actually honor and obey Him, and to stay close to Him. One of the biggest takeaways is the Shema from Deuteronomy 6:4-5, which reminds us that God is one and calls us to love Him with everything we’ve got.

This message is about seeing God’s faithfulness, not just where we’ve messed up, but in all the good He’s done in our lives. It encourages us to trust that God’s rules and commands are really for our good—they help us grow and thrive.

So as we face our own “giants” or challenges, we’re called to step out in faith, knowing God’s got us. The same God who’s been there for us in quiet moments is right there in every part of our lives.

We see that even someone like Moses messed up under stress (remember when he hit the rock?), but God’s grace still showed up. The message is, nobody’s perfect—but God’s faithfulness doesn’t change.

We’re challenged to check our own hearts, watch out for compromise, and keep trusting God even when things aren’t clear. We’re also reminded to think beyond just ourselves—our choices can impact the next generation, so let’s stay engaged in what God’s doing and pass our faith along.

Bottom line: Even when we fail, God’s not done with us. His promises are bigger than our mistakes, and they’re meant for all His people, not just us.

We’re being challenged to see ourselves as “people of promise”—people who are meant to step out in faith, even when we feel like there are huge obstacles in the way. The message also connects how the Israelites went through different stages as a group, just like we do—sometimes things get messy (“storming”) before they come together (“performing”).

As we think about this, it’s a good time to ask: Are we holding back from all God has for us because we’re scared, or because it feels impossible? Are we stuck in the wilderness because of doubt? This is a reminder to trust God’s promises, even when they seem out of reach, and to believe that He always comes through. Bottom line: God’s calling us to step up, own our identity as His people, and go after everything He’s planned for us—no matter what giants are standing in the way.

We’re encouraged to think about the people God’s put around us, how we make space for His presence in our lives, and the specific purpose He’s given each of us. Just like the Israelites gathered around the tabernacle, we’re called to put God at the center of our friendships, work, and everything else we’ve got going on.

This sermon connects what the Israelites went through with our own ups and downs. It reminds us that God gives us the right people, stays with us through everything, and has a reason for where we’re at. As we go through our own “wilderness” moments, we’re invited to listen for God’s voice, do what He’s asking, and show respect for Him and each other.

Bottom line: This message is a chance for us to check our hearts, deal with our doubts, and trust God with the hard stuff—so we can keep growing and walking with Him in real ways.

But here's the challenge — your "neighbor" isn’t just your friends or people you vibe with. It's everyone... even the ones who get under your skin. Loving them means showing up with compassion, offering help, praying for them, and choosing kindness, even when it’s tough.

We reimagined the story of the Good Samaritan for our world today — and instead of asking “who counts as my neighbor?” we’re flipping the script and asking, “how can I be a neighbor?” This message pushes us to live with radical love that reflects God’s heart and builds a more just, beautiful world. 💛

He finished the masterpiece of salvation, even when others had given up.

This Message is a reminder to keep trusting God, even when things feel off or hard to understand. He’s still at work.

Jesus made the kingdom of heaven something we can actually live out—He brought dignity to everyday life and invited us to be part of what He’s doing in the world. It’s a shift in perspective that can really deepen our faith and help us recognize God’s hand, even when things are tough.

Heaven throws a party over just one person who turns back to Him—that’s how big His grace and forgiveness really are. The Day of Atonement especially paints a vivid picture: two goats, one sacrificed and the other sent away, symbolizing both the payment for sin and the complete removal of it. It’s a glimpse of what Jesus would do on the cross—taking on our sin and separating us from it completely.

This message encourages us to come to the Bible with open hearts, willing to trust God's wisdom even when it doesn’t make immediate sense to us. It’s a reminder that real freedom and purpose come when we live under God’s leadership, no matter what life looks like.

Though has been expressed an infinite number of ways across time and space, the people of God have always been marked by their participation/cooperation in God's mission.

This is not a new challenge, most of the books in the new testament are dedicated to helping people figure out how to walk with each other despite their differences.

In the New Testament, there's no such thing as a disciple (singular person) who is apart from the disciples (plural). Three primary ways we gather as Hope Valley are Sundays, Small Groups and Service teams... all of which are simple expressions of following Jesus together.

Our goal in this series of videos is to invite you into the vibrant Christian life.

Today's sermon explores this all important question: What belongs to God, and why does He want it?

Today's service turned into a full-blown prayer meeting for (and by) the nations.

Today's sermon includes a short teaching on prayer - including Pastor David's favorite prayers that are recorded in scripture.

Luke 22 opens up with the story of Judas arranging to betray Jesus. Though a surprise to the reader, scripture reveals that there were issues in his heart all along. Among other things, Luke 22 is a warning to us to bring what is hidden in our hearts into the light and to hide something better (God's word) in our hearts.
