And when is the best time to do that?</p><p>Rebuilding our faith means re-centering our lives on Jesus Christ. No matter how small your light is, it is exactly what this world needs. In Matthew 5:13-14, during the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus calls his followers the "salt of the earth" and the "light of the world". We all wish we had the blessing of something more.  Some wish they could sing or play an instrument while Some wish they had the blessing of money or vanity.  In Mathew Chapter 7, 7-8 as a part of the sermon on the mount, Jesus says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. Does this mean that if we ask God for money, we will be rich if we ask God for talent we will have talent? We will explore this text and how it applies to the world today and how our wants may not be what Gods plan is for us.

Quicksand has a similar definition in sports. Quicksand in sports is when one thing goes wrong on the field or court and then another and then another and you try to fight back and the harder you fight the deeper you sink. Pretty soon you can’t move because you’re in over your head. How many times in your life does it feel like the ground under you gives out? Maybe as the ground is giving you fight harder but it just seems to get overwhelming. Between the kids and a career or maybe you are fighting for your marriage or relationship, but at every turn something goes wrong or the ground seems to be sinking. This week we will explore how we were given a way out of the quicksand, a second chance. He gave us a way out of addiction, loneliness, and doubt.
