In Mark 4, Jesus tells a series of stories about seeds. They're not really about gardening. They're about the Kingdom of God, the message of Jesus, and our response to him. Why do some people embrace the light while others reject it? What does Jesus mean by "with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"? And what part is ours, and what part belongs to God? Join us as we explore Jesus' challenge to every follower: Plant the seed.

Jesus’ encounters with the Pharisees reveal that the point is not the rules, but the Ruler: Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, who has authority over God’s rules and brings joy, rest, and healing. The passage challenges us to accept Jesus’ loving rule rather than trying to earn God’s approval through rule-keeping, while recognising that not everyone will accept his authority.

Galatians 6 gives us a picture of a community that doesn’t walk alone. We are called to gently restore those who stumble, carry one another’s burdens, and look for opportunities to do good. Caring for one another means stepping into each other’s struggles with humility and love, while also taking responsibility for our own walk with Christ. As we sow into the Spirit and faithfully do good, we trust that God will bring the harvest in his good time.

Generosity comes from the grace God has already shown us. When we give freely and with a good attitude, He grows us into people who reflect His kindness, care for real needs, and take part in what He’s doing in the world. And honestly, generosity doesn’t drain us but it builds our trust in Him, stretches our love for people, and turns into gratitude back to God.

Let's take a moment to reflect on this sacrifice - one that has already paid the price for your sins, if you're willing to receive His grace. He loves you deeply and desires a real personal relationship with you.

Following on from last week, we dive into the second commandment where God's powerful reminder calls us to worship Him as He is, not as we imagine or reshape Him to be. It’s not just about carved statues… it’s about the subtle idols we create in our minds, habits, and priorities. When we let God define who He is and allow Him to be in control over every area of our life, we experience freedom, clarity and a deeper relationship with Him.

"You shall not covet..."

We've worked through the laws given to Moses, which open our eyes and reveal the sin within us. This week, we come to the last of the ten commandments, looking at the desires of the flesh and how they pull us away from God.

Throughout the Bible, we see a recurring struggle: the desire for earthly riches, the pursuit of self-satisfaction, and the battle within our own sinful hearts. But this isn't the story God intended for us. Instead, He calls us to turn away from our sinful hearts and receive His grace.

This story is seen in the image of a tree. In the beginning, humanity chose the wrong tree (the knowledge of good and evil) and ultimately fell into sin. At the center stands another tree, the cross, where Jesus bore the pain of that sin. And in the end, we see the tree of life restored, bearing fruit and offering healing to all nations.

What was lost in the beginning has been made whole again through Christ. Believe in Jesus, follow Him and become satisfied in Him today.

"You shall not give false testimony against your neighbour."

This command stretches beyond what happens in a courtroom. False testimony can come in the form of gossip, exaggerating a story, spreading rumours, twisting someone's words, or even the half-truths you post online. Little things we say can still mess with someone's reputation without us meaning to.

This week, Ian leads us through how these habits can creep into our lives quietly and frequently, and how Scripture invited us to do the opposite-to be honest, to build people up instead of tearing them down, to love our neighbour and show God love for us, through our actions. It's a gentle reminder to check our hearts. Turn back to and Honour God in the way we speak.

"You shall not steal."

Continuing through the Ten Commandments, we land on "You shall not steal" -a command that goes far beyond taking someone's possessions. Stealing shows up in more places that we often think to look. What counts as stealing today? Could it be someone's time, their credit or recognition, their digital content or words, their trust - or what about stealing glory that belongs to God?

"There's no honour amongst thieves"

Tune in as Tom helps us look honestly into our own hearts to reveal what we may have been stealing without even realising. Scripture calls us to move from taking to giving, from grasping to gratitude. This is an invitation to reflect on our own sinful hearts, repent and reshape our lives to honour God.

"You shall not commit adultery."

Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God. As Charles Spurgeon taught, adultery harms both families and communities, while purity honours God's design.

Most importantly, this commandment reminds us that God shows us steadfast covenant love, and marriage is a sign of that faithfulness. We are called to honour our marriage and live in faithfulness that reflects God's own faithful character.

"You shall not murder."

In a world full of anger, bitterness, and division, God calls us to a higher standard: the protection of life and the care of one another. This command isn’t just about avoiding violence — it’s about cultivating love, patience, and respect in every relationship.

What does “do not murder” look like in everyday life? How can we live in a way that preserves life and reflects God’s heart?

“Honour your father and your mother…”

In a world that celebrates independence, God calls us to honour. This command isn’t just about obedience — it’s about heart, humility, and trust in His design for family.

What does honour look like in real life? And how does it lead to blessing?

"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy..."

In a world that values the "hustle and grind," God calls us to a different rhythm. This commandment isn't just about a day off; it's about a sacred pause. It is an invitation to stop, breathe, and trust that the world continues to turn whilst we rest in the hands of the Creator.

The Sabbath is a gift, not a burden. It is a time to stop our normal duties, reflect on His goodness, and renew ourselves in his presence. By keeping the Sabbath day holy, we declare our identity isn't found in what we do, but in whose we are.

“You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God…”

This commandment goes far deeper than words alone. God’s name represents His character, His authority, and His presence. It is not something to be used casually or spoken without thought. God’s name carries meaning. It carries purpose. It carries power.

Above all, His name is holy.

God opens the Ten Commandments with a compelling call, "You shall have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:3). We'll dive into what this means to worship out Holy and infinite God exclusively, and why God forbids the worship of any other deities.

Despite seeing God's faithfulness week after week, their thirst leads them to challenge Moses and, ultimately, test God's presence, Demanding: "Is the Lord among us or not?"

This week we explore the confrontation at Massah and Meribah where the Israelites are testing God and quarrelling. Lets examine God's patient response, bringing life from a rock, and reflect on the dangers of letting doubt overshadow the clear evidence of God's active presence in our wilderness moments.

It's not just a story of the past. It points us forward to Jesus, whose blood still saves today.

We're asking: Am I trusting in God's way of rescue—or trying to save myself?

This week in Exodus, we're asking: Is my heart open to God—or hardening against His voice?

When Moses and Aaron ask to worship God, Pharaoh responds with defiance—and suffering increases for God’s people. But in the middle of pain and pressure, God doesn’t abandon them. He reminds them—and us—of who He is: "I am the Lord."

In seasons when life gets harder instead of easier, God is still working. He sees, He hears, and He promises: "I will bring you out... and you will know that I am the Lord."

God isn’t just powerful—He’s personal. And even when circumstances say otherwise, He’s always faithful to His word.

When Moses asks, "Who am I?" God doesn't offer a pep talk—He gives a promise: "I will be with you."

In the middle of fear and inadequacy, God reveals His Name and invites us ordinary people into His extraordinary mission.

Like Moses, we're not called because we're ready—we're made ready because we're called by God.

This Sunday, we continue our journey through the book of Exodus—and witness God at work behind the scenes, even when He seems silent.

In a time of oppression and danger, God preserves life, raises up Moses, and quietly prepares the path to deliverance. His plan is unfolding—even in the shadows.

Deliverance begins long before you see it.

Be patient. Be prayerful. Be hopeful.

The darkness will not last, it will be overcome by light.

This Sunday, we look at the Roman guards—the first witnesses to the resurrection—and how fear led to a cover-up. But no lie can bury the truth.

What happened when darkness fell in the middle of the day?

This Sunday, we return to our series in Matthew and arrive at the most significant moment—not just in the story, but in all of history: the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 27:45–56, we see how God turned the darkest day the world has ever known into the doorway of light and life. Peter will walk us through four powerful truths reflected in that darkness—SIN, SEPARATION, SACRIFICE, and SALVATION—and why they matter for us today.

There is light beyond the darkness.

In this powerful portion of Matthew’s Gospel, we witness the trial of Jesus—an innocent King accused, rejected, and mocked. Though He had done nothing wrong, Jesus stood silent before His accusers, choosing obedience and love over self-defense. He took the place of Barabbas, a guilty man set free, revealing the heart of the Gospel: the righteous for the unrighteous.

This Sunday, we’re exploring what it means that Jesus willingly took our place. In the face of injustice and humiliation, He remained faithful to the Father’s plan—so that we could be redeemed. His suffering wasn’t a loss; it was love in action.

Jesus is in deep agony in the garden of Gethsemane, just hours before the cross. His closest friends can’t even stay awake. And Peter—bold and confident—will soon deny Him three times. In Matthew 26:31–45, we witness Jesus' raw humanity and divine obedience. This moment changed history—and it speaks directly to our struggles today. "After I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee." (Matthew 26:32)

Even in betrayal and weakness, He offers hope.

This week we are looking at Matt 8:5-17. The centurion is celebrated by Jesus for his amazing faith - a faith which grasps that Jesus will save the unworthy.

Jesus is both willing and able to cleanse you, so come to him in faith today.

In what has been described as “the most alarming verses in the Bible”, Jesus warns against the danger of relying on what we say and do when it is not matched by a life of increasing obedience to God’s will.

Jesus warns us to watch out for false prophets (or guides) - and teaches us how to spot them: by looking for the fruit of a transformed heart in their lives.

Jesus offers the “Golden Rule” as the summary of the Law and the Prophets. The essence of this rule is love, which cannot be perfectly fulfilled without God radically changing our hearts. Truly loving others begins with loving God, and love is, by nature, exclusive. It is no wonder then that Jesus speaks of a narrow way which leads to life, while all other ways lead to destruction. We must rest in God’s grace by entering this narrow gate, which is Jesus Himself.

God wants to give good gifts to his children. Jesus calls us to ask, seek and knock with commitment and persistence.

Jesus warns us to approach judgment with self-reflection and to recognise the danger of sharing the gospel with those who show utter contempt to it.

Worry comes when run after the wrong things, while Jesus teaches us to seek first His kingdom and righteousness.
